Annual Overview of UN Activities in BiH Presented to the RS Government

Annual Overview of United Nation Activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina was officialy presented by Yuri Afanasiev, UN Resident Coordinator at a meeting with Alexander Dzombic, Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, held today in Banja Luka. At the meeting they discussed about the projects activities implemented by UN agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the financial situation in the Republika Srpska.

During the meeting,  Yuri Afanasiev acquainted the RS Prime Minister Alexander Džombić with the activities of the UN Programme Environment and Climate Change within which were implemented  energy efficiency projects with sustainable energy in public buildings.

 

Also, Yuri Afanasiev has announced new projects in the local development sector  which are planned to invest about  US$  5.5 million in Republika Srpska.

 

Alexander Džombić used this opportunity to  introduced  the UN representatives with macroeconomic indicators in Republika Srpska.

 

At the meeting they also discussed the models to improve functioning of the  National Park "Sutjeska",  as well as on the UN agencies  activities plan for this year.


 
Annual Overview of United Nation Activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also presented at a regular session of the Government of Republika Srpska.
