YERP starts trainings of Center for Information, Counseling and Training employees

Centers for Information, Counseling and Training (CISO) established in thirteen (13) locations throughout BiH within Youth Employability and Retention Programme (YERP) will provide new services of carrier/professional orientations, counseling and training of young unemployed people in Public Employment Services.

Minimum three (3) employees will be engaged in new established CISOs and will be providing beneficiaries with the following services: information in regard to potential carrier/professional orientation and opportunities for additional education/trainings, information on group and individual counseling as well as motivation trainings. 

 

Before Centers become operational, all CISO employees will go through intensive training program to allow them to upgrade/improve their knowledge and skills of participative learning, counseling and direct work with unemployed people. YERP program engaged world renowned experts with long term experience working with Public Employment Services and unemployed people in Europe and Western Balkan region. Duration of the training program will be end of October 2010 till December 2010, and by its end CISO employees will acquire knowledge and skills which will improve work with unemployed people and contribute to their higher employability.


 

The Youth Employability and Retention Programme (YERP) is supported through the Millennium Development Goals Fund, and financed by the Government of the Kingdom of Spain. The programme is jointly implemented by IOM, UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and UNV, in partnership with the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs, the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, entity Ministries of Labour and Education, the BiH Agency for Statistics, respective entity offices of statistics, employment offices across the country, non-vocational primary and secondary schools, municipalities and rural communities, individual enterprises and associations from the private sector and civil society organisations from the community level to the diaspora.


 

The YERP Programme is planned to last for three (3) years, with projected budget of six (6) million USD.
