101 BiH Citizen Trained in Culturally Sensitive Leadership Techniques
A two day Intercultural Navigators Gathering attended by the 27 navigators officially ended the cycle of trainings where 101 navigators from Bihać, Bijeljina, Gradiška, Jajce, Novo Sarajevo, Prijedor, Rudo, Sokolac, Srebrenik, and Tešanj, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the RS Ministry of Education and Culture, the Federal Institute for Protection of Cultural Heritage and the Institute of Education of Republika Srpska were trained in leadership skills for intercultural navigating among different cultures.
During the final workshop, 27 certified navigators will have the opportunity to exchange information and experience and improve mutual cooperation beyond their local communities. Established networking symbolises the first step in implementing activities according to the principles of interculturalism as a dynamic concept of mutual respect in multicultural societies.
The Programme Culture for Development is a three-year programme funded by the Spanish Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund which is being implemented in partnership of three UN Agencies: UNDP, UNICEF and UNESCO, in cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, Ministry of Culture and Sports of FBiH, Ministry of Education and Culture of RS, as well as other institutions working in the area of education and culture.
